Located less than 50km away from São Paulo capital, Mogi das Cruzes hosted the training center for the Belgium squad for Fifa World Cup 2014 and it is known as an economic and populational center in Alto Tietê region. It has a wide hotel network and several cultural tours as the Expeditionary World War II Memorial in Brazil.

The Centenary Park is located in César de Sousa district, it was inaugurated in June 2008 as a homage for japanese immigration 100 years in Brazil. It has four lakes and a great green area.
Leon Feffer Park
Leon Feffer Park is located in Brás Cubas district. Its vegetation rims the Tiête River and there you can find Ipês, maricás, ingás, aroeiras, angicos, cambucis and white fig trees. You can also find bird, capybaras and ratões-do-banhado.
It is located in a high spot in Itapety mountainous region. It is attended by free flight lovers, as well as other radical sports lovers. The Free Flight Mogi Club memebers are always there.
There is also rural tourism. Some places, such as farms, host tourists.
